Warning, this chili is hot!
2-1/2 lbs of leanest ground beef
1 large onion, coarsely chopped
1/4 green bell-pepper, coarsely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 28 oz can diced tomatoes
1 16 oz can red kidney beans
2-1/2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons of chili powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakesSpray skillet with olive oil, brown ground beef.
At the same time, in a smaller skillet, saute onion, green pepper, and garlic in 1 tbsp olive oil.
Pour tomatoes and kidney beans in large stockpot, add seasonings, heat slowly while cooking beef and veges.
Add cooked beef and veges to stockpot, bring just to boil, reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.Serves 8
